MTS provides its iPhone users with free navigation

LONDON, 09 February, 2011 – Mobile TeleSystems OJSC , the leading telecommunications operator in Russia and the CIS, has recently announced the launch of MTS Navigator, its highly advanced personal search, mapping and navigation solution powered by Telmap on the iPhone.

The service is now available for free to all MTS’ iPhone users.

MTS Navigator, powered by Telmap, provides full language support and includes in-car navigation with 3D moving maps, turn-by-turn voice instructions that announce street names, a dedicated pedestrian mode, and access to thousands of points of interest across Russia such as gas and more. It is specifically designed to enrich users’ on-the-go experiences, beyond in-car and pedestrian navigation.
